I support the continuation…

I support the continuation of the Rondeau cottage community in perpetuity. I support the three-year lease extension as described in ERO Policy Proposal 019-0907. This lease extension should be granted automatically to all existing leaseholders. This time should be used to reach a permanent solution that will ensure the cottage community remains forever. If a permanent solution is reached prior to the three-year deadline, I support it being implemented as soon as possible. Additionally, I believe that the debate and back and forth on this issue has gone on long enough. For as long as I can recall, there has been conflict, wasted time and money over the issue of cottages in Rondeau Park. The owners of the properties in the park are the parks biggest advocate, protector and cheerleader. They are in love with the park, with nature and they intend on maintaining that environment. The cost born by the government and the folks who own these cottages to potentially remove them and then restore the park to nature would be enormous.
