As a life-long resident of Ontario, I find the current water bottling situation morally problematic. It takes groundwater resources out of natural environment and watersheds, produces horrendous plastic waste and is being done at a fraction of the fees that should be charged. Ontario should be charging these businesses $1/litre in bulk instead of the fraction thereof. We have excellent public water systems and water resources here and they should be responsibly maintained instead of undermined.
