I enthusiastically support an extension of the moratorium as described, as well as any possible expansion of its currently proposed scope. It should be of great concern to all in Ontario that corporations are able to take vast quantities of water from within our borders for the purpose of bottling. Groundwater from aquifers may renew over time, but very slowly at best; less than 6% over 50 years according to the study I've linked. This necessary resource for life is essentially being stolen for pennies to boost the profits of distant shareholders at the expense of all those who make Ontario their home now and in the future.
