On behalf of the Blue Mountain Watershed Trust, we support the extension of a moratorium on water bottle, water bottling permits until next year.
This period will allow for more thorough ground water reviews that will provide science based
evidence upon which to:
formulate water bottling permit policies that, first and foremost safeguard community ground
water supplies.

Furthermore, it is the policy of the Blue Mountain Watershed Trust Foundation to oppose the sale of plastic and glass bottles of clear water through retail outlets because
they have no redeeming value except portability which can be solved by refilling your own bottle.

We urge the Ontario Government to move toward this policy.
