Very glad the province is developing cycling infrastructure,  It is important for the province to support municipalities across the province in providing segregated cycling pathways for cyclists. Priority should be given to providing these safe pathways on main streets throughout the province.

Safe practices for these include proper signage and stop lines that allow drivers to see cyclists and avoid hitting them when the signal light turns green.

Also, slower speed limits for cars make cycling safer on city streets.  ( slower speeds also make walking safer)

In rural areas wide paved shoulders with clear signage and other markers that warn drivers not to encroach on cyclists' right of way are needed.

Multi- Use Pathways joining towns and villages to the area surrounding the towns and villages will also be welcome.  A good example is the need to finish the pathway between Kingston and Renfrew/Pembroke that runs near Highway 38 among other routes.

A MUP that links Ottawa and Perth would also be very welcome.

Thanks for the chance to comment.
