Re: Electrically assisted bikes and barrier free access to multi use paths.
I would like to urge you to consider that for many people, especially seniors, the disabled and women, having electric assist on their bikes will make the diffference between using or never using active transportation. Please do not ban e assist on multi use pathways or other cycling infrastructure. Speed limited e-assist should be allowed anywhere that a regular bike might be.
Another consideration I would like to see is standardized vehicle barriers at entry points to pathways. Child and cargo trailers, extra long bikes, trikes, wide wheelchairs need to be able to get through. Too narrow and it becomes impassable for irregular bikes.
Thanks
