The moratorium on bottled…

The moratorium on bottled water permits must be extended. In fact it must be permanent. Nestle's is draining the water reserves of cities and small towns in Wellington County and elsewhere in Ontario and this must be stopped.

As my government, I expect you to protect our safety and our human rights. We all need to have access to clean, safe public water.

As a Catholic, I have been taught that water is sacred. The social justice teachings of my church teach that human beings are more important than corporate profits. I think this is a sentiment that most people in Ontario would agree with.

I urge you to extend the moratorium on bottled water permits, make it permanent, and phase out bottled water extraction in Ontario within 5 years.
