I am greatly concerned that cubs will be orphaned and die. Asking hunters to not shoot female bears with cubs requires them to be able to identify the bear as female, which is hard to do. It also means that the hunters would need to do due diligence to ensure that no cubs were in the area. How can the government ensure that no bears will be orphaned? It’s a mark against our province to allow such cruelty and suffering.
