I am not in favour of continuing the black bear hunt from May to June 2020. The Bears have declined over the years and have a right to live in our environment because we are the ones that push them out with our developments and housing. The likelihood of inexperienced hunters shooting females with cubs or pregnant is a high risk because many hunters don’t have the skill to determine the status of the bear they are trying to shoot. And I find it very distasteful for grown men to hide in trees and lure bears into an opening where they can shoot them in cold blood!
