I believe that the spring bear hunt should be banned in all areas. There is no way a hunter can tell the difference between a female or male bear. Females are out in the spring, forging for food and their young are left helpless, awaiting their return. If a female is killed by accident, the bear population is in jeopardy. If a bear hunt must happen, then have it open in the fall, not the spring.
