I am greatly concerned about projected cost of nuclear electricity in Ontario. More so that the costs do not account for full environmental remediation.
Nuclear technology currently employed has very poor ability to adjust to changing electricity demand, resulting in Ontario exporting electricity at night at near zero rates.
Proposed Darlington refurbishment costs are indefensible, especially taking into account long term horizon.
Importing clean electricity from Manitoba and Quebec would make much more economic sense.
