Sad to hear the Ontario government is caving to hunters crying about wanting the spring bear hunt back. I live in bear country. Bears are not a nuisance. The hunters are the nuisance. Why take the chance of a hunter killing a sow with cubs, because quite frankly, most hunters just want to kill and don't know if it's a sow or a boar, and now her cubs die a slow painful death of starvation. At least the fall bear hunt gives the cubs the summer to grow. Hunters don't need the spring bear hunt! The bears need the spring to be born and be allowed to live and be alive. Just like you and I.
