Hunters can't distinguish between female and male bears--they are going to kill the first one they see. With it being spring, you are fully aware that there will be cubs and they won't survive should the mother bear be killed. You also have no guarantee if hunters will report the actual number of bears they shoot. There is NO reason for a spring bear hunt. People do not need to manage the bear population. I think this is dangerous and detrimental to the bear population and the overall wildlife population and ecosystem.
