The extension of the spring black bear season is definitely a great idea, and will benefit all who pursue black bear during the spring season. I believe it will also benefit other wildlife populations, mainly Ontario’s ungulates, deer and moose. Black bear will prey on fawns and calves, and therefore can have an impact on the number of them that make it to the fall and next year after. Bear hunting is also a way of life for many people, a lifestyle. It has been around for generations, and should continue for the enjoyment of many, many people. Thank you
