Not only will some Cubs be orphaned but in our area of nipissing district where we live miles and miles from any town hunters come to hunt bears with hounds. These bears are already stressed from heat and biting insects and in a great need to gain the weight they lost over winter. One hunter told us his 8 hounds had been chasing a bear for 6 hours. These bears in this area are not nuisance bears.
What about the moose calves and fawns that these dogs are disturbing.
We are already losing too many our wild animals across this planet. Will it ever stop?
I am totally against the spring bear hunt.
