I am writing in support of the addition to the invasive species act. The species I would like to see added is all forms of knotwood. There is a clump of it growing on the lawn of an empty home in my neighborhood and all abutting neighbours are constantly battling to keep it from spreading into our yards. It grows over 7 feet tall and attracts Japanese beetles and wasps. This plant spreads through underground runners which are impossible to contain. The canopy it creates chokes out all native plants in the immediate vicinity. I wish you every success in this endeavour and thanks for your consideration.
