I am opposed to the proposed changes at this company. This company, known locally as Budget Bins, already has a negative impact on the neighbouring community through noise, dust and dirt drag-out onto the street. The facility on Gage Avenue North is very close to residential homes, and it causes a major nuisance to people who live in those homes which are only a few metres from their huge piles of waste. The back of Budget Bins property is filled with massive heaps of debris which emit a lot of dust which neighbours have to breathe. This is on top of all the other waste and recycling businesses in the area which have a terrible impact on air quality.

Any increase to the volume of material this facility is allowed to receive is only going to make things worse for the residential neighbourhood next to it. To make things even worse than that, Budget Bins wants to have more asbestos storage. They will be storing asbestos there indefinitely, putting nearby residents at risk because we can't trust that a company so careless with their general site maintenance would be safe handlers of such a toxic material.
