Of course it's really important to work toward food security, and greatly needed. But it should not be done by privatizing our Crown forested lands. In my view we should be looking at local farm cooperatives like exist in many other places, and have local First Nations (it's their territory) and other people working on these to share the food and increase local food security.
Also, given that this is First Nations territory on "Crown" lands, any licensing of the lands needs to be done with their full consent and involvement in decisions about who gets the licences, and we need to make sure that they have the opportunity to be involved to strengthen their food sovereignty and economic development for their communities.
