I am writing because the thought of having a new waste disposal site at 633 Coronation Drive is very distrubing! We live in a residential neighbourhood on a ravine and close to the lake. Yes, there are industrial facilities on Beechgrove and Coronation but that is enough! The health of the natural environment is extremely important and this facility will put that at risk by emitting multiple toxic gases and greenhouse gases and particulates. I am also concerned about the risk to my family and my neighbours. The toxic gases and particulates my case helath issues which I am not wanting to risk. As well, the addition of 100's of large trucks carrying waste through the neighbourhood will cause issues with noise and safety. These are quiet neighbourhood streets!! Even Port Union Rd. has only one lane going north from Lawrence. A site like this should be located in an industrial area, far from Lake Ontario, without homes and schools full of vulnerable families and students. Please look for a site more suitable for your anaerobic digesters.
