Our Response to Water is for life, it is a basic human need and is not for profit
Availability of water for everyone is a moral issue as well as a justice issue.
To realize that in 2020 some Canadians have never had access to tap water is unconscionable. Shared governance and not consultation with our Indigenous brothers and sisters is their right as Canadian citizens.
Bottled water carries its own health and ecological risks, and is not an essential need.. it is a convenience. Plastic is toxic to our environment, it is killing sea life, it is not biodegradable and is plugging landfills and rural roads.
Water data: Citizens should be kept informed of Government transactions with whom and how much water is extracted from their water source and know where the money goes.
People and not profit is the moral responsibility of any Government...this pandemic has shown us how things must change NOW ... taking care of the least in our neighbourhoods and protecting the needs of all life is the responsibility of myself in community with the support of government
Thank you for the opportunity to be involved with this serious issue.
