I see our current water supply for Centre Wellington in danger of being exploited by commercial for-profit interests, rather than maintained for public requirements. The future major expansion of our township requires protection of our limited current water supplies needed for domestic and agricultural priorities.
A secondary issue for me is the further proliferation of plastics in the single use bottles, most of which aren't recycled but end up as environmental contaminants.
Thank you for considering my strong objections to the diversion of our water to private interests.
