For a few decades now we have been addressing negative impacts of plastic accumulation and the millions of liters of groundwater extracted for profiteers by producing bottled water. Every minute, 1 million plastic bottles are purchased worldwide. We know that public tap water is safe to drink and the upside of drinking tap water is that is that is produces no plastic. We know too, that climate change is real and that tons of plastic further adds to global warming as well as having damaging effects on wildlife , fish and water mammals. While water is being needlessly extracted or profit, 2 billion people drink contaminated water every day. In Canada alone, First Nations Communities are 90% more at risk for having clean safe water to drink because as we know, water advisories have become the norm.

The earth is in dire need of our attention for regenerating fresh, clean, and safe practices for all humanity and all creatures that rely on how we relate to water. Everything we do and how we act or do not act to safeguard water will seriously impact our children and their children's children.

Let us act now and responsibly advocate for positive change that will see the ending of large corporations using and polluting the environment for almost free while society's marginalized are forced to go without clean water.
