Regarding Registry Number 019-1340, thank you for this opportunity to comment and thank you for working to protect our water.
Concerning the 4 points in the plan, it is absolutely essential that municipalities have a say and are a willing host to any water bottlers or industries using a large quantity of water. Thank you for including this in the plan and giving municipalities the ability to say no, but I do hope that the criteria put in place to use this veto power are not overly taxing or difficult for the community to fulfill.
Also, it is appreciated that the plan includes a priority list for water use, with the environment and municipal community use as top priority.
Of course, the "bigger picture" has to be considered, with due attention being given to the cumulative effects of water-takers on a regional area or watershed. Thank you for including this point.
And finally transparency is vitally important so that the public can view data, is included in the process and can act to insure water is being fairly used under this new policy.
