I have two comments:
1) Development and growth are often seen as signs of a strong economy. While this may be true a strong economy cannot be sustained without a healthy environment. It is important to plan growth carefully to make sure that the environment is not negatively impacted. This includes protection of sources of drinking water and nature spaces.
2) I believe globalization has resulted in many problems and like a pendulum the shift toward globalization will begin to swing back. If the current pandemic teaches us anything it is that we need to be more self sufficient particularly in our food production. If the supply of food from others countries is disrupted because of a pandemic or other global crises than our ability to supply our own food in our country becomes critical. We have already seen the loss so much excellent farmland around the GTA as it gets replaced by housing and industrial development. Any growth planning should place farm land at a premium and protect it for our future.
