As a practicing falconer in Ontario I’m delighted to see these changes! Falconers have been flying wild trapped birds for thousands of years. Building a relationship with a wild bird is central to what falconry is all about. The proposed changes will help make wild birds more accessible to licensed falconers, and allow more falconers the opportunity to Practice falconry in its most traditional way.
