Not too many people realize there is a high mortality rate in first year birds of prey. This proposal assures the survival of many of these same birds during the first crucial winter. Then to be released back into the wild as a experienced successful predator . Survival rate will be greatly improved with a year of hunting in the winter and becoming future breeding stock.
