The proposed area for mining exploration is well known to be the largest standing old growth reserve of red pine. To pursue any exploration for mining, no matter the scale would be counter productive as it implies a possibility of further exploration and devastation to the land. With less than 2 percent of these forests intact our goal should be to protect these areas at all costs. Please listen to the local voicesthat have held these land sacred for lifetimes.
