No mining exploration in this region should be allowed. Not now, not ever. This is a small pocket of protected ecosystem in a landscape of stolen lands and poisoned waters from previous development. There is no possible way to fully mitigate the risks of mining development. The potential benefits of an extraction industry in this area would temporarily heighten the riches of a few already rich, while forever damaging and poisoning the land and waters connected to the site, which would impact many generations of the collective. We have learned this lesson so many times already. Do not make us learn it again. Not now, not ever.
