Paddling the Chiniguchi River nearly ten years ago remains one of the best memories of my move to Sudbury, Ontario. With fires happening all over the world, it becomes even more imperative to protect the old growth forests than ever. This location is not only one of the oldest standing red pine tree locations in North America, but it remains a special place for solace, inspiration and rejuvenation for locals and all of Ontarian's to enjoy and marvel. Protect it to protect our future and the future of our area that has worked so hard to re-green itself over the years. What an embarrassment it would be to have Sudbury’s re-greening honour be tarnished through the act of destroying such an important space for our local culture, education and biodiversity.

I urge you to remember the saying “ We Do Not Inherit the Earth from Our Ancestors; We Borrow It from Our Children” - this remains true.
