It is possible switching to 100% renewables. Countries like Sweden and Germany are already on that route so it is definitely possible here in Ontario. It is very important that when putting together a long-term energy plan we have to consider putting conservation first. It is known to be the cheapest source of energy and also the lowest impact on the environment. Switching to renewable energy also means a more decentralized energy system. This also means that giving more control to people to produce their own energy. We should also be not dependent on the higher cost of building and maintenance of nuclear energy and be putting the life of Ontarians at risk. And lastly, I believe that switching to renewable means less pollution. This is not only good for the community but also for the environment.
