We thought that Wolf Lake…

We thought that Wolf Lake was a preserve - how is it that prospecting for mineral extraction is allowed???? I was one of the artists that camped on Wolf Lake, at one of the proposed claim sites, no less, and a book was published with our art and experiences, and an appeal to preserve the largest remaining stand of mature Red Pines in the World! They don’t reproduce until they are mature.

I believe that if this desecration to be carried out, it will go down in history as a big mistake - a black mark on this government. The canoe route through Wolf Lake is very popular, and everyone will see the scars. You can’t bring such a Forest back - an old growth forest can’t be “replanted”.

Please stop and reconsider.
