My husband is a falconer and when he was telling me about this proposal I was impressed with the amazing environmental ramifications. Releasing birds back to the wild to breed in the spring, and trapping a young bird the next fall season makes the effect of falconry on the wild raptor population inconsequential. Which makes the proposal of eliminating the draw a huge improvement towards falconry.
