To whom this may concern, I have been involved in falconry and the sport since 2011. Falconry is a lifestyle and not a hobby. I was lucky enough to have been awarded the wild take some years back. To be able to trap a wild raptor, train and hunt it, is the most rewarding experience i have ever encountered. The bird i trapped was very very lean off the trap. In my opinion it was a juvenile bird that would have probably not made it past its first winter and would have fallen into the low survival rate category. I was able to bring the birds weight up drastically before initial training and i ended up hunting with the bird 60 grams higher then its trap weigh. We had fantastic hunting seasons with many game taken. After applying and receiving a release permit I was 100% confident this now mature bird had a long and prosperous life ahead of it and now a Supreme hunter it was time to release it back to the wild. I was able to play a huge part in helping and working with such an amazing creature. I would like to vote in favor of this proposal. Thank you.
