I think that the proposed changes to the regulations governing the art and sport of falconry are very desirable for the benefit of both birds of prey and falconers in Ontario. Allowing an increased take of wild raptors will not harm the species at all. This has been demonstrated adequately over the years in other provinces and in the United States. Falconry is one of the oldest sports in the world and is recognized by the United Nations as being part of the intrinsic cultural heritage of mankind.
