I support this proposal to extend the wild take of raptors for licensed falconers in Ontario. This proposal needs to be judged by science and not emotions. The fast amount of Ontario's raptors migrate south of the border, where almost every state allows wild take. Even if 25 raptors are trapped every year this will have zero impact on the overall populations.
Falconry has been practiced for millennia sustainably. Raptors have protected status today due to falconers' commitment. The peregrine falcon has been saved from extinction in NA due to falconers effort primarily.
