I have a friend who is an avid supporter of this proposal. I have seen first hand how her understanding and passion for falconry as and "intangible cultural heritage of humanity." As a member of the Ontario Hawking Club, she and its members have worked hard in the field to acquire much-needed data on active goshawk nest sites in southern Ontario. This would encourage further efforts to monitor and study this species. I understand as well that the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry are adopting an approach that has been successfully used in other provinces as well as the United States. There would be nothing to indicate at this time of writing, that they would not succeed in Southern Ontario as well.
