I am one of the residents of this beau neighborhood which you are going to ruin by subjecting it to biochemical gasses, pollution, hideous sight, smell and noises of stinky trucks passing from its streets 24 hours a day! This is just an example of environmental racism and inequality. Why there is never a proposal for building a disposal plant in wealthy neighborhoods such as Bayview village for example? On the opposite, there are always new plans of making new luxurious shopping malls and towers or parks for the wealthy neighborhood, which would only be benefiting the wealthy residents. Not like us, poor and weak citizens in a community in Scarborough which already lacks a lot of resources for the community. If this proposed disposal l cite will not be harmful and it won't negatively impact our lives and our community, our neighborhood and livelihoods, why don't you take this proposal for a wealthy residential neighborhood with wealthy white residents? I dare you! We are just paying the price of being poor, being people of color, being immigrants. Stop this environmental racism and inequality RIGHT NOW! We will fight this together aa a community if the government doesn't stand up for us! If the government proves that it doesn't care about us, because we are less worthy citizens, we are second degree humans. Black lives matter! Brown lives matter! We matter!
