Due diligence from the Ontario Falconers via annual hands on data collection for the North American Goshawk has led to the proposal of a limited take of 5 Goshawks from the province of Ontario.
Falconers are conservationists that have always been instrumental in the protection of Raptors even when raptors were once considered vermin and shot for sport. The conservation efforts of Falconers and peregrine falcons is a prime example of this commitment. Falconry is a recreational privilege with a close relationship directly with oneself , a raptor and the environment.
Congratulations to the province of Ontario for coming on board with 5 other provinces and the majority of the States in the U.S.
I support this proposal and the continued working relationship with Ontario falconers and the Province of Ontario.
