It appears that the Permit to achieve overall benefit, is being issued (with public consultation) AFTER THE FACT. The property in question has already been developed (see attached map). The removal of regulated habitat obviously has already occurred, without an authorization from the MECP under the Endangered Species Act. It also appears that additional regulated habitat has also been destroyed on the unopened road allowance immediately to the south of the subject property. The destroyed habitat was once part of the Candidate Natural Heritage Site TC6. The attached map shows the condition of the property, as depicted in 2019 aerial photography.
