Hi,
I am all for using the blue box and I recycle everything I can. The one thing that concerns me about the changes being made is that we are no longer going to be able to recycle using clear plastic bags.
I am a senior and have a full set of stairs to walk down to get my recycle out to the curb.
I really don't feel secure walking down a set of stairs with both arms holding a blue box instead of a being able to have one hand on the railing.
Being able to use the plastic bags makes it so much easier for those over a certain age and people with disabilities. Elderly people who walk with a cane can get a bag to the curb but can not manage a blue box.
I hope being able to continue using the clear recycle bags is something that can be considered.
