The proposal claims that "The permit, if issued, would authorize the site alteration of four warehouse buildings in the City of Toronto in order to build affordable housing, meeting the needs of people in the province."
However, the Ministerial Zoning Order for the property (O. Reg. 595/20: ZONING ORDER - CITY OF TORONTO, link included below ) doesn't establish any requirements for affordable housing on the property.
Consequently, development in the area that both affects endangered species AND provides no tangible benefits to the community should not be permitted.
