I do not support this proposal. It will result in developers simply paying money into a fund and absolving themselves of all responsibility for negative environmental and social impacts to watersheds, municipalites, and species at risk. There are no requirements for the public to be notified prior to the destruction of their surrounding areas. This fund will lead to a continuing loss of habitat, and will not protect anything.
