I wish to register my opposition to the Xinyi float glass plant proposed for Stratford.
Xinyi has not been forthcoming with vital information to the citizens of this city, nor has the present
City Council. This process was largely done without any public consultation.
If this plant comes here, it means the quality of the air we breathe will be affected, there will be an
increase of traffic on our roads and if there is a water shortage and restrictions are put in place it will only apply to the citizens of Stratford, not Xinyi Glass. If this plant is allowed to build in Stratford, it also means prime agricultural land will be lost. In short Xinyi Glass is not a good fit for Stratford.
