Water is NOT a commodity. To treat water as a commodity treats persons and creation as mere dollar values. Creation is made of living souls; all interconnected and interdependent. To treat water as a commodity violates this cycle of life.
Water is a community resource, "commons", if you will. Water, when regarded as public commons, fulfills its purpose and value in sustaining life; not being extracted, poured into polluting containers, and sold at immense profit to persons ignorant of the higher quality standards of water in their own municipally offered services.
To extract water and move it to another watershed is to disrupt the chain of life in a manner that communicates to local life in all forms the simple message "Money is more important than your well-being and life."
Therefore water must be removed from the list of commercial products.
