I stand firmly against the use of Ministerial Zoning Orders as they currently stand. Any changes made to undeveloped land must be scrupulously subject to the citizens living in the area and other Ontarians who might also object to the converting of the existing natural landscape.
The current environmental conditions we face both globally and locally should preclude and further development as we are currently on a environmentally irresponsible and destructive path which might already be inexorably sliding into permanent irreparable catastrophe.
Why these environmental realities continue to elude our public servants even after decades of overwhelming evidence against unrelenting human damage to our planet is incomprehensible. I can only believe that it’s continuation is largely the result of self interest and nearsightedness and if this is the case it is not only inexcusable but shameful and quite possibly criminal.
