I have no faith that the ford government would use this change for inclusionary zoning. Given what's happening with the Foundry in Toronto right now, it's a mockery to say that this is in the name of affordable housing. It's incredibly deceptive to say this is the reason for this change when the Foundry site proposal would only be 30% affordable for one of the three towers, while others are at market rent.
Cities and communities need a say on the changes in their backyard. The urgency right now needs to be on people, not prioritizing developments without proper consultation.
