I would like to emphasize the need for a Cumulative Impact Study in Prince Edward County due to the 8 ARA Licensed pits on the Ridge Road Esker. Another license is waiting approval. Priority must be given to affects on the water table and therefore wells that supply rural homes with no municipal water supply option. In Prince Edward County we are surrounded by water but have experienced low water conditions often over the past few years, confirmed by Quinte Conservation. The necessity of a Cumulative Impact Study is imperative for all water users and also the health of the local cold water stream, Waring Creek which drains into West Lake the home of the famous Sandbanks. The need was identified in the 1998 OMB hearing but has not be realized and the Ridge Road Esker continues to be assaulted.
