I am adamantly opposed to the proposed changes. I see no need for the Municipal Affairs Minister to have additional authority. Too many MZO's are already aggressive in bypassing local zoning laws often resulting in negative effects on the environment. Development should not be fast tracked without consulting the public or experts. Economic growth can not be at the expense of the environment.
