I am saddened but not surprised that this government is still pushing to increase its planning power by abusing Minister’s zoning orders. The proposal suggests that they can be used to protect the environment. Please provide one example of when this was done in the past. The idea that a policy change can be retroactive is ridiculous. The lengths to which this government will go to support developers at the expense of citizen’s rights by using “a special exception” as a common planning tool is brazen and thuggish.
