The misuse of MZOs is yet…

The misuse of MZOs is yet another attack on democracy by the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario. Their tired mantra of "For the People" is cover for pandering to corporate interests while silencing the public.
Alarming is the fact that the PCPO supports destruction of the natural environment for corporate profits and donations rather than seeking less destructive solutions that are justifiable and can be supported by the majority of their constituents - not just wealthy donors.
The deliberate inducement of urban sprawl by the use of most MZOs results in unhealthy environments, makes climate change mitigation more difficult, detracts from societal wellness and reduces our food security by the destruction of agricultural lands.
MZOs should only be used where there is a distinct societal need such as public safety and security. They should not be used for political favors or the facilitation of private sector profits.
